FAQs

To Stretch Or Not To Stretch?

There are many facets and opinions regarding the Stretch and getting the body ready for exercise.  Some people use stretching as a “warm-up”, however, that can be counterproductive.  To start off, one’s body should not go into a workout routine cold no matter what.  An increased body temperature gets the body ready for what is to come including muscle activation and the ability to increase your range of motion by loosening muscles and flexors in order to avoid injury during exercise.  So even before stretching, you want to at least slightly increase your core body temperature.  How you do that is up to you, but first and foremost, use caution with any exercise routine and listen to your body before, during, and after.

Is Swimming A Good Workout?

Swimming workouts are low impact, however, it triggers multiple muscles of the body including the deltoid and shoulder, abs, lower back, forearm, upper back, hamstring, and glutes. Not only that, but swimming also helps with balance, reach, and posture. Swimming also helps with strengthening your heart and lungs. The bottom line is that swimming workouts are ideal for strengthening and toning and weight loss for an all-encompassing workout.
